Academic Qualifications
& Eligibility:
Candidates who have passed HSC examination (Academic
Stream of 10 +2 curriculum) of any State/CBSE/ISC
or any other examination recognized as equivalent
thereto, with the group of subjects specified below
and obtained the minimum eligible marks prescribed
are eligible to apply for admission to the course
concerned. Group of Subjects Specified:
English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany &
Zoology MCI Norms:
MBBS course must have passed in the subject of Physics,
Chemistry, Biology & English individually and
must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken
together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology at
the qualifying examination.
In respect of candidates longing to SC/ST or other
OBC the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry &
Biology taken in qualifying examination be 40%.
Age Limit:
Candidates should have completed 17 years of age
as on 31st December of the academic year. Date of
birth given in the HSC/CBSE/ISC marks sheet or in
the Birth Certificate/ Passport shall be taken for
computing age of the candidate.
Filling in Application Form & Attaching Certificates:
(a) The All India Common Entrance Examination (AICEE)
application form and the course application form
annexed hereto should be filled in carefully and
legibly by the candidates in their own handwriting.
Any application found to be incomplete or defective
would be rejected summarily.
(b) Candidates should enclose only attested Photo
Copies (xerox) of the certificates relating to qualification,
age and nationality such as HSC mark sheet(s), Transfer
certificate etc. The original Mark sheet(s) of the
qualifying examination should not be enclosed. They
have to be produced only at the time of admission
to the Degree course concerned.
(c) Photographs: Candidates should affix three recently
taken passport size photographs (colour or black
& White) in the space provided (i.e., one on
the front page of the Application Form and two on
the Hall ticket). The candidate should sign at the
top of the two photographs affixed on the Hall Ticket.
Registration Fee:
(a) A Demand Draft for Rs.600/- (Rupees Six hundred
only) drawn in favour the REGISTRAR, BHARATH UNIVERSITY
payable at Chennai, towards non-refundable registration
fee, should be enclosed along with the filled in
Entrance Examination Application Form. THE CANDIDATE'S
NAME AND THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION APPLICATION FORM
NUMBER SHOULD BE WRITTEN ON THE REVERSE OF THE DEMAND
DRAFT.
(b) The registration fee may also be remitted in
the University Office in cash while delivering the
filled in application in person.
Tuition Fee:
Tuition fee and other fees for Medical/Dental Courses
will be in accordance with the fee fixed by the
Fee Fixation Committee.
Hall Ticket:
(a) Hall ticket for the All India Common Entrance
Examination will be issued only to the eligible
candidates and dispatched to the candidates.
HALL TICKET MUST BE PRODUCED BY THE CANDIDATES AT
THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION CENTRE WITHOUT FAIL. NO
CANDIDATE SHALL BE ALLOWED TO WRITE THE ENTRANCE
EXAMINATION WITHOUT THE HALL TICKET.
(b) Mere acceptance of a person as a candidate for
writing the Entrance Examination shall not confer
on him/her any right/ eligibility for admission.
The name of the candidate who does not satisfy the
eligibility criteria shall not be considered for
admission to the course concerned.
Entrance Examination Centres: Chennai, Bangalore,
Kolkatta, Delhi and Mumbai.
Date of Entrance Examination:
(a) The All India Common Entrance Examination will
be conducted at the above said Centres to which
date will be announced later.
(b) The candidates are advised to be at the Entrance
Examination Centre an hour before the commencement
of the Examination. All India Common
Entrance Examination Pattern:
(a) The All India Common Entrance Examination will
be conducted in ENGLISH Only. The question book
will consist of 100 multiple choice questions (single
best response) in the following pattern:-

(a) Selection will be made on the basis of marks
secured by the candidates in the All India Common
Entrance Examination. Intimation letter will be
sent to the candidates provisionally selected for
admission, in the order of merit.
(b) Incase of candidates who secure the same marks
in the Entrance Examination, selection will be made
having regard to their academic performance in the
qualifying Examination.
Maximum marks will be 100 and the duration of the
examination will be 3(three) hours.
(c) All questions must be answered and they carry
equal marks. There will be no negative mark for
wrong answers.
Syllabus:
The Entrance Examination will be based on the 10+2
syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards/ Universities.
Deposit of Certificates:
Verification of original certificates will be made
at the time of admission. Selected candidates will
have to deposit all required certificates with the
College. Therefore, candidates are advised to keep
with them enough number of attested photocopies
of their original certificates. Medical
Examination:
The candidates provisionally selected for admission
will have to undergo a medical examination. Only
those who are found medically fit will be admitted
to the course. Check List:
Please ensure whether the following certificates
(attested photocopies)/ items have been enclosed
along with the All India Common Entrance Examination
Application Form duly filled in:
i. Marks sheet(s) of the qualifying examination
(HSC/CBSE/ISC)
ii. Birth Certificate for proof of age( if date
of birth is not given in the HSC Mark Sheet);
iii. Transfer Certificate
iv. Conduct Certificate issued by the Head of the
Institution last studied.
v. Passport (for NRI / foreign students only)
vi. A Demand Draft for Rs. 600/- Rupees six hundred
only) towards Registration Fee and
vii. Also ensure whether:-
(a) Your photograph has been pasted on the Front
page of the Application Form and on the Hall ticket
and duly signed by you.
(b) Postal stamp for Rs. 5/- is affixed, your postal
address is written on the envelope supplied for
sending the Hall ticket and it is enclosed.
